The City of Robbinsdale provides water, sanitary and storm sewer drainage, garbage service, and recycling services for its residents. Robbinsdale has a comprehensive program for garbage and recycling pick-up designed to reduce the waste collected in area landfills and to provide affordable collection based on volume. The City bills every other month for residential services.

Utility bills can be paid over the phone by calling 763-531-1211 option 1. Customers will need to have the account number and customer number. This service accepts VISA, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, or E-Check.
Utility bills can be paid in person during business hours (8:00 a.m. - 4:30 pm.) at City Hall located at 4100 Lakeview Avenue North. Accepted forms of payment are cash, check, money order, or credit cards.
There is a dropbox available in the parking lot for after-hours payments.
Homeowners will need their Account Number and Customer Number to register for paperless billing. This can be found on your utility bill or by calling the utility billing department at 763-531-1211.
Once registered, no hard copy of the utility bill for property will be mailed and instead you will receive a copy of your bill in your email.

After clicking the link above, log in using your username and password. Navigate to the "My Profile" tab located at the very top of the screen. Click on "Payment Methods" in the drop down of the "My Profile" tab.
If you just need to update the expiration date on your current card, click "edit" on the card information under "Saved Payment Methods" and update the card information.
If you need to update the current card number on file or input new card information, you will need to delete the current card on file under the "Saved Payment Methods" and then add the new card information by clicking "+Add New Credit Card".
If you are moving – as soon as you have a scheduled closing date set, please contact the Utility Billing office at 763-531-1211. You may also fill out this Online Moving Form and e-mail it to us at firstname.lastname@example.org, fax it to 763-531-1213, or place it in the drop box outside of City Hall. Please be sure to provide your new address for your final bill and the set closing date, so the City can schedule a final water meter reading.

State law effective January 1, 2010, requires metropolitan area public water utilities to implement residential and commercial rate structures that encourage conservation. A conservation rate structure is one that provides households with a financial incentive to use less water.

In April of 2017, the City of Robbinsdale conducted a Utility Rate Study and Financial Plan for Street Improvement Projects. The goals of the financial study were to establish utility rates that will be adequate to support operations, outstanding debt and capital improvements; and develop a funding plan for the Permanent Improvement Revolving Fund (“PIR Fund”) to support pavement management and street reconstruction projects.
The City undertook this financial study in thinking about the big picture to understand the funding sources required to complete necessary street reconstruction projects, maintain infrastructure and continue operations of the utility services. This financial study recommends utility rates and other revenue that will support operations, debt obligations, and planned future capital improvements as described later within this report. This report provides the key findings and recommendations of the study as presented to the City Council in a work session on October 17, 2017.

Holidays: Solid waste collection is delayed one day if the following holidays occur Monday through Friday: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day.
