In Minnesota, you can vote early with an absentee ballot starting 46 days before Election Day. For the 2020 Primary Election, absentee voting starts June 26.  You can request an absentee ballot online, or call City Hall at 763-537-4534. You can vote early with an absentee ballot at City Hall, 4100 Lakeview Ave N. If you are not registered, you can do so in person if you show proof of residence.

You can vote in person at City Hall, or county election office.


Absentee voting (and direct balloting starting August 4th) is available at City Hall, 4100 Lakeview Ave N, Monday - Friday (except July 3rd) from 8 am to 4:30 pm.

You can also submit a direct ballot:

  • The last Saturday before Election Day (10 a.m. — 3 p.m.) – Saturday, August 8
  • The day before Election Day until 5 p.m. – Monday, August 10


First day to vote early in person: Friday, June 26

Last day to vote early in person: Monday, August 10
