The Robbinsdale Parks Department is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the City's fourteen parks totaling 110 acres, park development, improvement projects and operations. Park development and acquisition funding is provided through the City's general fund, various grants and donations from civic and non-profit community groups. Great Watershed Clean Up and Arbor Day: The City Council has proclaimed Saturday, April 27 as the Great Watershed Clean Up Day and Arbor Day. There will be a brief ceremony and other activities at Lee Park, 3738 Lee Ave. N starting at 9:30 am. For flyer, click here.
Adopt-a-Park Adopt-a-Park is a public service program for volunteers to pick up litter and help keep Robbinsdale’s parks clean. It enables citizens to provide a meaningful contribution to a cleaner environment. Removing litter is expensive and citizens lending a hand to keep parks clean will help the City reduce maintenance costs. Robbinsdale community groups and businesses may “Adopt a Park” by contacting the City. For more details on the program or if interested in signing up please click here. - Robbinsdale Community Gyms & Fitness The Fitness Center facility includes a large gymnasium and an extensive exercise room. Family and individual membership are available for purchase, as well as daily fees. The gyms and fitness center was recently renovated and new fitness equipment has been installed. - Sanborn Warming House is closed for the season. Ice maintenance has also ceased.
Robbinsdale Garden Plots at Mielke Park The City offers residents the opportunity to rent a 20 x 20 ft. space for personal gardening on an annual basis. Information for new Gardeners, Meilke Park Garden Rules and Garden Application- for new gardeners
Field and Park Facilities Park facilities can be reserved by individuals. Fees and policies for 2019 are in the process of being updated and will need Council approval. Please check back in late March/early April for the updated policies and application forms.Please note, all requests must be made at least 7 business days in advance. If you are considering having any "entertainment" features such as tents, staging, inflatables, dunk tanks, etc. you will need to submit form at least 21 business days in advance. There are additional requirements that will need to be met. If you are seeking multiple dates, you should contact Recreation Services for more information.
