HISTORY OF THE
ROBBINSDALE CRIME PREVENTION ASSOCIATIONThe Robbinsdale Crime Prevention Association
became incorporated on January 13, 1987. The organization was formed to provide crime
prevention education, a reward fund, and "buy" money.
Members have been actively involved in
National Night Out, Block Watches, Public Safety open houses, as well as providing
programs and literature for elementary schools. Members played an important role in
the success of the referendums required to build the new Public Safety Building. The
statues in front of the Public Safety building are also a result of the RCPA's efforts.
