Flood Plain Information

The entire City of Robbinsdale is covered by one Flood Hazard Boundary/Insurance Map.  The Community-Panel Number is       270181 0001 B; effective date is August 1, 1977.  To order maps call 1-800-358-9616.  The FEMA Fax number is 1-800-358-9620

The City of Robbinsdale does not make Flood Plain determinations, but can give technical assistance for the properties adjacent water resources and a fee may be charged.  Analysis requires the property owner to provide a registered land survey with topographical contours at 2 foot intervals. You may view a copy of the flood plain map by coming to the City Hall offices.

In 1977, there was detailed study of water bodies referred to as Grimes Avenue Pond and North & South Rice Lakes (area generally west of France Ave N and South of Lowry Ave N -  Most of this area  became Sohacki Park.)  Extensive floodplain areas exist in this area.  Most of the rest of the city is designated Zone C with the exception of properties immediately adjacent to Crystal Lake, Twin Lake, Ryan Lake and Ryan Creek.  These areas were not studied in detail and are classified as "un-numbered A zones".
