Deputy
Registrar - Motor Vehicle - Passports
The Deputy Registrars office provides motor vehicle license plates and tabs, title
transfers, hunting and fishing licenses, registration for boats, snowmobiles, ATVs, and
passport services. We can process replacement driver's license requests (if
you moved or lost your license), We can not process licenses which require vision tests or
state ID photo - drivers' licenses or state ID cards. |
| Our offices are
located in City Hall at 4100 Lakeview Ave N. Our new Hours effective May 1, 2010, are Monday through
Friday 8:00 am.-4:30 p.m.; and the first and second Saturday of the month from 9:00
a.m. to Noon (except some holiday weekends). The office will no
longer be open on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. If you have questions
about our services, call 763-535-8133 during business hours.
Customers may have their license tab
renewals processed in a timely manner without having to stand in line by placing their
license tabs statement with a check payable to the City of Robbinsdale in an envelope
marked "Motor Vehicle" in the Utility Drop Box located in front of City Hall.
The envelopes will be picked up daily at 8 a.m. on regular business days (Mon-Fri),
processed, and ready for pick-up after 12 Noon the following business day (Mon-Fri).
If you are unable to pick up your tabs at the end of the following business day,
they will be mailed out to you at no extra charge.

| We have standard
license plates, Critical Habitat plates, Support Our Troop plates on hand. We can
also help you order specialty plates including Firefighter plates, Collegiate plates,
Collector Plates and Handicapped plates and we can handle vanity plate requests. |
| Be sure to bring
in identification, drivers license or state ID, so we are able to bring up your motor
vehicle record and verify that you are the owner. |

Hunting
and Fishing Licenses: |

| In addition to
standard hunting and fishing licenses you can also get Cross Country Ski passes, Dark
House, and a variety of stamps (pheasant, trout, waterfowl). We can sell some
licenses to non-Minnesota residents. |

| Passports: |
|
|
Robbinsdale’s Motor Vehicle License Center now offers passport
services (including photo services). It may
take up to 6 weeks to get your passport. The
following is needed to apply for a passport: |
- Proof of Citizenship
- Proof of Identity
- Two recent photos (we can take them for
you)
- Required fee paid by check or money order.
