City Of Robbinsdale Inside City Offices
Community Development-Robbinsdale EDA
The Robbinsdale Economic Development Authority (REDA) -and it's predecessor the Robbinsdale Housing and Redevelopment Authority has been actively involved with spot redevelopment of homes going back into the 1970s.  Previous development efforts include the multiple Housing developments: Robbins Landing, Lee Square Cooperative, Copperfield Hill, Lilac Parkway, Cunningham Apartments, Broadway Court, and Robbins Way.  The REDA was is also involved in the redevelopment of the school site at 42nd and Regent which includes townhome units, single family homes, a multi-garage addition to an existing apartment building and one-level cottages.

In addition, the REDA has redeveloped 200 single family homes scattered around the city - some homes were rehabilitated, but most involved tearing down a substandard home and replacing it with a new, modern home.  Sometimes redevelopment is done by selling vacant lots to buildersand sometimes the REDA has entered into partnership with Hennepin Technical College (HTC).

Sample Purchase and Development Agreement
Preference will be given to homes with high quality exterior materials and upgrades-no preferred home style has been determined.   If your proposal is approved by the REDA, you will be asked to enter into a purchase and development agreement.  The agreement calls for the dates the project would be started and completed, identification of the builder, and the estimated completed market value of the project.  You will also asked to provide references and examples of previous homes built by the builder who will construct the home. The REDA reserves the right to take back the lot if the project is not completed by the timeline agreed upon.
This request for a proposal does not commit the REDA to award a contract and pay costs incurred in the preparation of the proposal of this request, or to procure a contract for services or supplies.   The REDA reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals received as a result of this request, to negotiate with any qualified source or to cancel in part or all of its entirety this request for proposal if it is in the best interest of the REDA to do so.
