Community Development-Robbinsdale EDA
The Robbinsdale Economic Development Authority (REDA) -and it's predecessor the Robbinsdale Housing and Redevelopment Authority has been actively involved with spot redevelopment of homes going back into the 1970s.  Previous development efforts include the multiple Housing developments: Robbins Landing, Lee Square Cooperative, Copperfield Hill, Lilac Parkway, Cunningham Apartments, and Broadway Court.  The REDA was is also involved in the redevelopment of the school site at 42nd and Regent which includes townhome units, single family homes, a multi-garage addition to an existing apartment building and senior cottages.

In addition, the REDA has redeveloped 200 single family homes scattered around the city - some homes were rehabilitated, but most involved tearing down a substandard home and replacing it with a new, modern home.  Sometimes redevelopment is done by selling vacant lots to builders (recent examples include 4001 Orchard and 4354 Vera Cruz) and sometimes the REDA has entered into partnership with Hennepin Technical College (HTC).
