where buildings may be built and what types of uses are allowed in the various zoning
districts established by the City Council. Scroll down to find the various sections
of the Zoning Ordinance as well as the minimum lot size and flood plain information. The

The easiest way to get the zoning
classification of a property is to click here to get the Property Information search page. Type in either
the address or PID number on the search page and hit Enter (or click search). Scroll
down to find the zoning classification.
Zoning classification can also be
determined if you know the legal description of the property. Legal
Descriptions are listed alphabetically for all property in a particular district
except properties zoned R-1 (Single Family Residential). The property is zoned R-1
if it is not found in any other district. |

| Minimum Lot Size and Flood Panel Information |
The minimum single family lot (R-1) requirements
are 50 feet wide and 6000 sq. ft. in area. However
an existing lot of record can be used for single family detached dwellings if the lot
width and lot area are within 80% of the said requirements. For
example a single family dwelling can be built on a 40 X 120 lot ( See Section 510.09.
Lots).
Very few properties in Robbinsdale are in
the Flood Plain as determined by FEMA. Those properties affected by flood plain
often are adjacent to or near water bodies, and are shown on four FEMA map panels.
Interpretation service is available from the Community Development Department for a
fee. However, assistance is also available directly from FEMA, which in some cases
will be necessary. The FEMA Map Assistance Center can be reached toll free at
877-33-2627 (877-FEMA MAP).
