The City of Robbinsdale Recreation Services is accepting applications for the following part-time temporary summer 2018 positions. Start dates vary. Complete job descriptions are available. Leaders are responsible for the day to day operations and planning of various programs, which includes activities and equipment/facilities located within the park assigned. There are openings for sports related programs: leaders are responsible for supervising and instructing youth in various sports, including baseball. There are also openings for a theme based activities program: leaders are responsible for supervising and leading various games, crafts and other activities. All leaders are responsible for the overall safety of the participants in the programs.
Program hours vary from 9:00-11:30 am and from 4:00-8:30 pm; Mondays through Thursdays. Individuals may be scheduled to work 6-20 hours per week, depending on the programs and program registrations. Additional hours may be available or required to assist with Special Events or Field Supervision. Season runs approximately mid-June to mid-August. Required training and orientation is scheduled for the week of June 11. Leaders must be high school graduates, able to work outside and demonstrate ability to supervise and communicate with individuals of all ages. They must also have skill knowledge including drills, game strategies and good sportsmanship.
Aide positions are available for individuals at least 15 years old: $8.25-9.65/hour. Leader/ Instructor (18 & older) salary range: $9.75-12.50/hour based on qualifications/experience and responsibilities.

- There is currently one openings on the Senior Commission. The Commission evaluates and assess impact of current and proposed programs on seniors. All are At-Large appointments. Commission members must be Robbinsdale residents and be over 55 years of age. It is established by City Code section 320.03.
- There are currently three openings on the Charter Commission for At-Large Commissioners. The Charter Commission consists of a minimum of 7 members to a maximum of 15 members with staggered 4-year terms and has its basis in City Charter rather than City Ordinance. Members are appointed by Council Resolution recommending qualified voters of the City to the Chief Judge of Hennepin District Court who makes the final appointment. The Charter Commission is required to meet at least once per year, and must meet if requested to consider an amendment by Council Resolution or Petition of residents (equal to 15% of the votes cast at the last state general election in the City).
