arrow.gif (54 bytes) I want to advertise my garage sale.  I see sales advertised around the City.  Is this legal?
Garage sale signs are permitted on the property where the sale will be held, but are limited to the day of the sale and must be removed upon close of the sale.  Signs may not exceed 5 square feet.
arrow.gif (54 bytes) I would like to have a garage sale over a weekend.  Is that acceptable?
As long as the sale does not exceed 72 consecutive hours.
arrow.gif (54 bytes) Can I have more than one garage sale per year?
Not more that two sales can be held in any 12-month period by the same person or on the same property unless they get a second hand goods dealer license – which is not permitted in residential areas.
arrow.gif (54 bytes) Can my neighbors and I share a sale?
A sale must be held on the property occupied by the seller and the items must be owned by the occupant.   Neighbors could coordinate having their sales at the same time.
arrow.gif (54 bytes) Can I have a sale for which I'm selling products on consignment or purched at other garage sales?

Sales may not include items specifically purchased with the intent of resale and are to be the property of the person conducting the sale.
